Laws of Golf
About LAWs of Golf - No two golfers are built the same, have the same abilities or backgrounds. LAWs of Golf was developed based on this knowledge and enables each golfer to develop his or her own customized swing, based on their unique characteristics.
The system and the drills associated with it, allows each person to find his or her own perfect posture and grip, stance width, ball position, swing plane and swing length and as a result maximize their play and enjoyment of the game.
LAWs begins with three swing models: Leverage, Arc and Width. These models and the corresponding teaching models are the culmination of many years of research, observation and trial and error. Each model describes a set of general characteristics and tendencies for that particular group.
Leverage golfers are most likely to have average to above average flexibility, an average chest size and arm and leg length proportional to their body size. Arc players are most likely to have above average to excellent flexibility, be unusually tall and have long legs and arms. Players with a thicker chest and shorter arms and legs with less flexibility are generally width players.
The key for every player is to match the timing and speed of the hips and the hands so that they are in the proper position at impact. Drills based on these LAWs of Golf have been developed that include putting, chipping, pitching and bunker drills as well as the full swing. As a result, the LAWs of Golf has allowed numerous players from beginner to tournament player to customize their game.

Golf Tips
Mario's 9 Tips To A Better Golf Swing
How to take golf lessons and apply it to your golf muscles! Remember if your muscles had brains, golf teachers would not have much work! A golf teacher can only teach you how to practice first, then when you develop the 9 essential fundamentals for the golf swing, you can learn about the short game, putting, pitching, chipping, flop shots and sand game. If you are a total beginner or long time great player (70's shooter), we all need to constantly go over some type of check list. Here are 9 universal full swing concepts we all need:
1. Grip
2. Address
3. Posture
4. Backswing Plane
5. Downswing Plane
6. Weight Shift
7. Balance
8. Finish
9. Overall Tempo
Every PGA Tour pro goes over this list alone or with a swing coach. The golf swing is not natural. Every Tour Pro has a swing coach. Taking lessons will only help if the student keeps notes and practices constructively. My swing coach has been David Leadbetter since 1983. Every other winter I try to get down to Orlando, Fl. and go over those same 9 steps with my coach.
Here's to a great golfing season in

Who Are They and What Makes Them So Good?
By: Dr. Tom Ferraro, Ph.D.
"Everyone has heard of Harvey Pennick and David Leadbetter. But we have some good teaching pros on Long Island. And Don't think they are exclusive property of the private clubs. How about ... Mario Calmi of North Woodmere Golf Learning Center."
Mario Calmi and David Leadbetter
"Great golf teachers.... have traits in common. Specialization is a trend that will increase as the teaching discipline matures. We see the beginning of this in golf... Calmi is great with creative shot making. Specilization will be the future of golf."
